    Would NOT recommend… experience felt "cold" and left a "shady" feeling with us. I typically write positive reviews (you can check my account) but feel I need to share this not so great review, after several days of "cooling off" because I feel it may be valuable to others.

    Cant say enough about how helpful and professional the staff was. This was the most difficult time for myself. Was made to feel as though I was part of their family. I would not hesitate and would highly recommend Telford's to help when you need it most. Thank-you so very much!

    Our family lost my mom earlier this month and prior to her death she had chosen Telford's as the cremation centre for her remains. My senior father & I worked with Eleanor to make arrangements. I feel she provided reasonably good service initially on the phone, but after meeting her in person we felt her demeanour was cold and based on the following... she is not adequately trained to service customers... or she is working to generate payments that are not via credit card to potentially save her or the business the 2-4% credit card fees they may be being charged on large $ transactions.

    After confirming services we wanted, we went to process payment on my father's credit card. It was declined on a couple attempts & then mine was also declined. Both he and I felt strongly our cards should have processed the payments, but they did not. Eleanor kindly said not to worry and we could take care of payment when we returned to pick up my mom's remains.

    Then a gentleman came out of the back and offered his help to process the card manually which worked immediately. Eleanor sort of "slunk" away and swiftly helped us complete our transaction with her.

    I used Telford's funeral home to bury my mother in 2010. The staff was compassionate, friendly, and went the extra mile. During a difficult time for my family and I this made a big difference in our overall experience. I would recommend Telford's to anyone needing to make funeral arrangements.

    Again… sorry for providing such a poor review… but this really left a bad feeling with us at a very difficult and poignant time in our lives.

    Upon returning my dad brought he thousands of dollars in cash because he was distraught about the declined credit card. I had called my credit card company and they confirmed their should NOT have been any issue with payment. Before letting my dad pay with cash I asked if we could try his credit card again which was decline two more times. I then asked if we could call the credit card company to determine why this was happening. The agent notified us there should NOT be any issue and that the payment request was not coming through to them what so ever?!
